About Disho
Disho is a QR video menu platform for restaurants. Guests scan a QR code on the table and get a menu where every dish plays as a vertical autoplay video, so they see exactly what a dish looks like before they order it. There is no app to install; the menu runs in the browser on any phone.
Why we built it
Paper menus and PDF cartas share the same flaw: guests can't tell what's good, so they ask the waiter the same questions, order the safe cheap thing, and skip the dishes the kitchen is proud of. Showing the actual dish (texture, portion, steam) removes the guessing. Grubhub's research found restaurants with photos and complete menu information receive up to 70% more orders than text-only listings.
What the platform does
- Vertical 9:16 autoplay video menus (photos get a Ken Burns motion fallback)
- A unique QR code per table, generated automatically
- Real-time orders straight to a kitchen feed
- Pay-at-table with Apple Pay and Google Pay
- AI-generated dish photos, videos and descriptions
- Menus in 12 languages with automatic translation
- Analytics: which dishes drive the average check
Where we are today
Disho is in open beta: the platform is free to use while we build alongside our first restaurants, and the pricing page has the full details. You can try the real thing in the live demo menu, browse menus built with Disho, or read our guides on the blog.
